A home built around the way we ride, eat, and slow down here. The bike is in the secure garage. Lunch is already booked.
Velocity Girona started, honestly, as a favour to friends and family who came to Girona and didn't want a hotel. One house. Electronic keys. One way of doing this properly. We've kept it deliberately small — a single villa in the Girona area, looked after with the kind of attention you can only give when there's just the one.
The brand is called Velocity Girona for a reason, and the reason is twofold. The villa is on top of a hill — a quiet 10% climb takes you there. Your average speed will be well over 60 km/h for the first part of your ride. And there's the slower kind of velocity that follows: the final climb, the long lunch, the swim, the afternoon nobody books. We built this place for cyclists, and it turned into something quieter than that — a house where people leave better than they arrived.
Three reasons this region keeps people coming back. The first two are why we built Velocity at all — the third is why a lot of people end up extending their stay.
Girona is where the WorldTour lives. From the door: Rocacorba on the legs day, Els Àngels for the punchy mid-week, the long quiet drag up to Mare de Déu del Mont when you've got six hours and want to remember why you started.
There are plenty of high-quality bike rental locations in town. The bike room is secured with camera surveillance and an alarm. It has a workstand, torque wrench, and floor pump. The pool's right there for cold-water recovery. The kitchen knows what to make for hungry legs.
The Costa Brava and the Empordà are quietly one of the best places to eat on Earth — three-Michelin-star El Celler de Can Roca is here, but so are many family restaurants serving traditional cuisine for generations. Knowing which to book on which night is half the job.
Long, generous lunches by the pool. Wine pairings from DO Empordà producers. A morning at the La Bisbal market if you want to cook something yourself. Wednesday at the local Sarrià de Ter market where you will be the only foreigner.
Twenty minutes from the front door is Camiral — consistently rated among Spain's top courses, host to the 2031 Ryder Cup, and a properly serious round of golf when you want one. The Stadium and Tour courses are both walkable in firm conditions, the practice facility is the best in the region, and the clubhouse lunch is, predictably, excellent.
For something a little more relaxed, Empordà Golf Club & TorreMirona are both within thirty minutes — links-style afternoons, fewer pros, more locals. Gualta Pitch and Putt. A surprising number of guests arrive for the bike and leave talking about the golf.
A well-equipped house. Four bedrooms, a home office, 1 Gbps fiber internet and high-speed Wi-Fi on every floor. A kitchen with an outdoor dining area where most things end up happening.
Designed quietly for cyclists — the bike room has a workstand and floor pump. Bring a book. Bring the family. Make the pool the day's only obligation. Use the built-in jacuzzi.
Three Michelin stars at El Celler de Can Roca. Two more at Les Cols. The menu del día at Can Joan d'Adri. We've eaten everywhere worth eating, and we'll recommend you the right ones.
The pros live here for a reason — they all train on these roads. From the door, you have access to the same routes.
Twenty-five minutes to the coast. Coves you can only reach by boat or footpath. The water in September is still warm enough to swim before dinner.
Catalan light is its own thing — clear, low, the kind that makes the cypresses look hand-drawn. Best from April through October. Vermouth at noon optional but encouraged.
Gironavilla sits in a quiet residential community — parties, large gatherings, and music events are not permitted. We're selective with guests; send your dates and a few words about your stay, and we'll come back to you within a day or two with availability.
Tap a date to set check-in, then tap another to set check-out. Five-night minimum.
